She's Got the Juice: Lady Leshurr, a Refreshing Female Voice in Hip-Hop

While I often start my day off listening to “Lil Kim Essentials" playlist on Apple Music and jam along to Trina’s "Look Back at Me” in the club (don’t judge), it is refreshing to hear lyrics that aren’t so sexually charged. Lady Leshurr, known for her “Queen’s Speech” freestyle series, recently dropped her new EP titled, ‘Mode’. 

The six-track project showcases the British-Caribbean rapper’s unique flow and lyrical wit. 'Mode’ is creative, fun, bold, and honest. Leshurr is a breath of fresh air amidst the raunchy style typically used by female rap artists. Leshurr thinks outside the box (pun intended) and delivers a diverse selection of content and sounds.
